What led you to become a surrogate? (If applicable, what led you to do another journey as well?)
I have always held an interest in surrogacy, but it wasn’t till someone I actually knew go through the process that I started. Just the idea of helping someone have a family. To create a small but big blessing. I also have a cousin who has a hard time conceiving. I often think of her when going through everything. What led me to do another? My first journey was easy, no problems with anything. That’s what made it easier to jump right into another one.
What made you decide to choose Dream Surrogacy?
CHRISTINA. All the way around. Someone had sent me her information and that first phone call I had with her, I knew I was in the right hands. I'm so happy I had found her! She has helped me through a lot, small, big, medium or in between she has been there. I knew I wanted someone to talk to instead of a big corporate company where you can only call durning business hours. She has answered all my questions and trust me I’ve had a lot. She has treated me as a friend. She actually stayed with me after delivering surro baby 1. It was so nice. So happy to have her by my side for this journey.
What is the relationship like with your intended parent(s)?
During the first journey it was for a single dad. He lives in Italy. He was so kind and nice, was very appreciative of me. He didn’t speak English very well, which was okay, we got through our conversation well with what he did know. Once I handed him his daughter everything else didn’t matter.
My intended parents now are just as amazing. They're here in California and do speak English. So we speak often. I haven't met them yet, but dreaming of the day I do. This journey has been the one I’ve always wanted. I can’t wait to hand them their twins. I'm still in contact with my first IP. Hopefully it's the same for these.
What are some high points of your journey?
Can I say everything? Lol. But definitely handing the baby over to the parents is pretty up there. That was just amazing.
What advice do you give to others who want to become a gestational surrogate?
It will the most amazing thing you can do for someone else. Just wait. Lol. Surrogacy is a hurry up and wait process.
What did you do to prepare yourself for surrogacy?
I asked so many questions and learned to have patience. I have a good support system.
How has your decision to become a surrogate impacted your life?
It has made me feel like I have a purpose and so much happinesses has come with it.
