What led you to become a surrogate? (If applicable, what led you to do another journey as well?)
Being a mom is probably one of the greatest feelings and brings me so much happiness. Knowing that there are families that so badly want to feel that happiness but can’t because of circumstances made me want to be able to help others become parents. The happiness I helped create doing my first journey really made it that much more important to me to be able to help another family.
What made you decide to choose Dream Surrogacy?
Dream surrogacy was recommended to me and after speaking with Christina I knew she was a wonderful person. I knew I wanted to work with her.
What is the relationship like with your intended parent(s)?
I have an amazing relationship with my intended parents. They are so caring and thoughtful. I couldn’t ask for a better relationship.
What are some high points of your journey?
The relationships I have created are definitely a high point- seeing the happiness in the parents eyes.
What advice do you give to others who want to become a gestational surrogate?
Advice I can give would be to make sure you do your research. There is so much more involved in a surrogacy journey than just having a baby. There are so many ups and downs. Not every journey with our intended parents are easy. Having support is an absolute must.
What did you do to prepare yourself for surrogacy?
There wasn’t much I did to prepare myself for surrogacy other than making sure I was healthy. Knew I had a healthy mind, you’ve got to have a healthy mind to be a surrogate. I did prepare my family, I discussed my plans with them. Included my children in every part that I could.
How has your decision to become a surrogate impacted your life?
My decision to become a surrogate has impacted my life in such a great way I feel. It has made me a better person because I’ve been able to help others achieve something so special, becoming a parent.
